Worship auditions
C-Road Worship
My name is Jamie and I’m the worship director at C-Road. It’s my goal to make the audition process for our music teams easy yet true-to-form. My team and I want to set you up for a win so that you might bring the best of what giftings God has given you. Whether you are new to C-Road or have not played @ C-Road in the past six months, everyone is required to audition - it’s the way our leadership team can help evaluate and identify your giftings.

If you’d like to be included in this audition process, please read the information below to prepare yourself and then REGISTER to let us know you plan to show up.

Male vocal auditions will be asked to sing “Follow You Anywhere” by Passion in the key of B (click song title for MP3).
You will also be asked to sing “part” or “harmony” on the female audition song (“What a Beautiful Name”) if able. -
Female vocal auditions will be asked to sing “What a Beautiful Name” by Hillsong in the key of D (click song title for MP3).
You will also be asked to sing “part” or “harmony” on the male audition song (“Follow You Anywhere”) if able. -
All instrument auditions (drums, guitars, bass, keys, etc) will be asked to play both “Follow You Anywhere” and “What A Beautiful Name”. Please click links below for chord sheets and MP3s.

THE PROCESS:
Here are a few things you can expect and keep in mind before your audition:
think of this more of an evaluation than an audition; we do not ask the question “can this person play/sing well?” but rather “is this person able to sing/play what we need them to?”
we are looking for three things in every audition: competency, character, and comfort - someone who is competent in their ability, who has a Christ-like character to serve others, and comfort both on stage and relationally with team members. It’s the trifecta of a great leader
we use an “in-ear” monitor system which means you will be required to have your own set of ear-phones (with a 3.5mm end)
you will be rehearsing with a “click” (ie: metronome) and a full band of current team members; everyone auditions in a group setting since that’s how we worship on Sundays - together!
our Worship Leadership Team will be on hand to help you figure out monitors, get a mix, and help answer any questions you will have; they’re there to help set you up for a win
we give one of three answers to every audition: YES, NO, and MAYBE LATER - you may be ready, you may not, or you just may need to work on a few things before you join the team. Either way, it’s our job to evaluate your giftings help you find an area in the church to serve.
